After a few updates on what has been going on this last year, guest speaker Rod Barker will be presenting
“Ups and Downs of a Sussex Village”
The landscape and historical back ground of Wilmington.
This short talk will look on how the Cuckmere valley was formed and the influence of the Downs on ancient settlement patterns. This will include some thoughts on the village, the Priory, smuggling and, of course, the Long Man.
